Georgia Tech Rugby Football Club

Rugby is the “ruffian sport played by gentlemen.” The Georgia Tech Rugby Football Club, or GTRFC, is a team in the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference (SCRC).

GTRFC is governed by students and coached by experienced rugby professionals. We practice two times a week with additional opportunities for weight training and conditioning. Our coaching staff is dedicated to our rookie players and places a heavy emphasis on establishing the basic skills of rugby. Many players have never played rugby prior to coming to Tech, so we schedule matches for both our A side and B side. Veteran players get to compete at a high level while new players get the experience they need to learn the game. Aside from working hard, GTRFC is famous for its social aspect. We provide ample opportunities for players to bond with teammates and travel across the southeast to other college campuses and annual rugby events. We play in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
